Crazy Stairs

This is one of my projects for my course at uni- well as far as I got with it before I ran out of of time (hence the lack of people). And I put in the lighting after the hand in, so the one I actually submitted was a bit crap :S
I also attempted to texture it (with some help from ~Deansta and another guy on our course) but it was literally impossible to get right and also I went a bit insane at one point from lack of sleep, so it didn't really happen.

For some strange reason (probably because maya hates me), when I put the top lights in, the corridor in the top right lit up even though there is a polygon wall in the way that should be blocking the light. I checked as well that the check box for the walls were set to cast and recieve shadows (or whatever it is) but they were and my knowledge of maya is exactly good so i gave up after that point. So if anyone else has had a similar problem and wants to tell me the stupidly obvious mistake im making, Id be very grateful Thanks

I may or may not do some more work on it to finish it off. Im thinking more towards the "may not" because frankly, I'm sick of looking at the damn picture.
